Job Description

The IT Support Engineer is responsible for providing technical assistance to users, resolving hardware/software/network issues, maintaining IT infrastructure, and ensuring smooth day-to-day technology operations. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills, clear communication, and the ability to work under minimal supervision.

Key ResponsibilitiesUser Support & Troubleshooting

  • Provide Level 1 & Level 2 technical support to banks and employees (onsite and remote).
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to laptops, desktops, printers, OS, and applications.
  • Assist in configuring, installing, and maintaining software and hardware.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to senior engineers or vendors as needed.

Systems & Network

  • Support basic network troubleshooting (Wi-Fi, LAN, DNS, VPN issues).
  • Configure and maintain user accounts, permissions, and security groups (Active Directory / Azure AD).
  • Handle system updates, patches, and routine maintenance activities.

IT Asset Management

  • Maintain inventory of IT assets including laptops, accessories, licenses, and equipment.
  • Track issuance and return of devices during onboarding/offboarding.

Security & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to IT security policies, password policies, and data protection guidelines.
  • Support antivirus, endpoint security, and backup systems.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Document issues, solutions, and technical guides in the ticketing system.
  • Prepare periodic reports on system health, support metrics, and asset status.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (preferred, not mandatory if experienced).
  • Strong knowledge of Windows / macOS troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Office 365, and basic networking.
  • Experience using ticketing tools (Jira, Freshservice, ServiceNow, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and customer-handling skills.
  • Ability to handle pressure and prioritize multiple tasks.

Preferred / Good-to-Have

  • Knowledge of Linux basics.
  • Experience with IT automation tools or scripting (PowerShell, Bash).
  • Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Workspace).
  • Certification (CompTIA A+, CCNA, Microsoft 365 Fundamentals).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
