Experience

• 12+ years of experience in IT, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the oil & gas sector.


• Proven track record of managing IT and telecom operations in complex, distributed environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the IT and telecom strategy aligned with business goals in upstream operations.


• Leverage GenAI to streamline IT Operations and Compliance.


• Manage end-to-end IT infrastructure including data centers, networks field communications, and SCADA systems.


• Ensure high availability and reliability of telecom systems across remote and offshore sites.


• Proficiency in telecom technologies (VSAT, LTE, microwave, fiber) and industrial protocols (Modbus, OPC, etc.).


• Oversee all operations related to IT infrastructure and service delivery


• Ensure adherence to SLA/KPI targets and conduct performance reviews.


• Drive business continuity and disaster recovery planning and execution.


• Evaluate emerging technologies and conduct Proof of Concepts (POCs) for strategic adoption.


• Optimize infrastructure costs and improve operational efficiency.


•  Certifications in cloud platforms (Azure/GCP), ITIL, or relevant technologies.


• Cybersecurity & Compliance


• Implement robust cybersecurity frameworks tailored to oil & gas threats (e.g., OT/ICS environments).


• Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001,OG86) and regulatory requirements.


• Vendor & Stakeholder Management


• Oversee vendor contracts, SLAs, and performance for IT and telecom services.


• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and HSE teams to align technology with field needs.


• Team Leadership


• Build and mentor a high-performing IT team with domain expertise in oil & gas.


• Foster a culture of innovation, agility, and continuous improvement.
