As a Student Intern in IAM/Cybersecurity, you will work alongside experienced professionals to support the design, implementation, and operation of enterprise identity and access management solutions. This internship is designed to provide hands-on exposure to modern IAM technologies, cybersecurity practices, and real-world business challenges.

What we look for

• Assist in configuring and managing IAM platforms (e.g., Azure AD, Okta, Saviynt, SailPoint) for user provisioning, access reviews, and Single Sign-On (SSO).
• Support the implementation of security controls such as Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), privileged access management, and policy enforcement.
• Participate in monitoring system logs, analyzing security events, and responding to incidents under supervision.
• Help document IAM processes, prepare reports on access requests, and maintain compliance records.
• Collaborate with IT and security teams to troubleshoot access issues and support onboarding/offboarding processes.
• Contribute to automation scripts and workflows for identity lifecycle management (joiner/mover/leaver).
• Stay current on cybersecurity trends, threats, and best practices; participate in team knowledge-sharing sessions.

Learning Outcomes

• Gain practical experience with enterprise IAM tools and protocols (OAuth2, SAML, SCIM, RBAC).
• Develop foundational skills in cybersecurity operations, risk assessment, and incident response.
• Build proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
• Understand regulatory frameworks (GDPR, PCI, NIST) and their impact on identity management.

Eligibility Criteria

• Currently pursuing a master’s degree (B.Tech/B.E.) in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• Strong academic record (typically above 50% with no active backlogs).
• Familiarity with programming languages (Python, Java, C#) and basic networking concepts.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills

• Prior coursework or project experience in IAM, cybersecurity, or cloud technologies.
• Exposure to scripting, automation, or data analysis tools.
• Certifications (if any): Microsoft, Okta, or other relevant security credentials (optional).
