Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement industrial IoT architectures for factory automation, integrating sensors, embedded systems, PLCs, edge devices, and cloud platforms
- Interface with PLCs (such as Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi) to acquire operational data using industrial protocols including Modbus, OPC UA, Ethernet/IP, Profibus, and Profinet
- Develop end-to-end data acquisition workflows, including real-time data polling, event-driven triggers, edge processing, and secure cloud ingestion
- Build and deploy IoT solutions using platforms such as AWS IoT, Azure IoT, Zoho IoT, or equivalent third-party ecosystems
- Develop firmware for microcontrollers and edge devices (ESP32, STM32, Raspberry Pi, Arduino), ensuring reliability, performance, and low-latency communication
- Implement and optimize communication protocols such as MQTT, LoRa, BLE, Wi-Fi, and OPC UA for reliable industrial connectivity
- Process, clean, and model factory data using structured pipelines to enable analytics, reporting, and visualization
- Develop dashboards and visualizations to track machine performance, production KPIs, and operational trends
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot system issues, optimize performance, and ensure seamless deployment in live factory environments
- Ensure system scalability, security, and compliance with industrial and data integrity standards
What Makes You a Great Fit
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- 2-5 years of hands-on experience in IoT development, embedded systems, or industrial automation
- Proven experience integrating PLCs and factory floor equipment with IoT platforms
- Strong programming skills in C, C++, Python, Embedded C, and scripting for IoT edge applications
- Solid understanding of embedded hardware, sensor integration, PCB design, and firmware development
- Experience working with industrial communication protocols and IIoT gateways
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms, data modeling, databases, and visualization tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset
- Ability to collaborate effectively with factory engineers, automation teams, and data stakeholders
- Adaptability and enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced, technology-driven manufacturing environment
