About the Role

Investment Banking Analyst (Trainee)

live deals, investor communication, due diligence, and valuation work

Stipend Structure

• ₹10,000 per month

  for the

  first 3 months

• ₹15,000 per month

  for the

  next 3 months

  (based on performance and continuity)

Key Responsibilities

1. Investor Relations & Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, family offices, VCs, HNIs, and institutional partners.
• Manage communication channels with investors, ensuring timely sharing of updates, reports, and deal information.
• Support senior management in investor meetings, follow-ups, and presentations.

2. Collateral Development & Deal Documentation

• Create high-quality investment collaterals including:
• Pitch decks
• Investment memos
• Investment notes
• Transaction teasers
• Sector and market research reports
• Prepare and update financial models, valuation worksheets, and cap table structures.

3. Financial Analysis & Valuation

• Build and maintain detailed financial models and projections.
• Support valuation exercises such as DCF, Comparable Company Analysis, and Precedent Transactions.
• Conduct industry and competitor analysis to support investment decisions.

4. Deal Execution & Coordination

• Coordinate end-to-end due diligence across finance, legal, tax, and compliance teams.
• Assist in drafting term sheets, transaction summaries, and deal documents.
• Work closely with startups, investors, and internal teams to ensure seamless transaction closure.
• Track deal pipelines, investor outreach logs, and documentation workflows.

5. Research & Analysis

• Conduct deep market studies, thematic research, and trend insights across relevant sectors.
• Evaluate investment opportunities through financial and business analysis.
• Prepare internal reports for investment committees and management review.

Skills & Competencies Required

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (mandatory).
• Strong relationship-building ability, especially with investors.
• Proficiency in preparing pitch decks, investment memos, and professional presentations.
• Strong foundation in financial modelling and valuation.
• High attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Google Suite, and financial tools.
• Professionalism, discipline, and strong work ethics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or final-year student) in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Engineering, Business, or related fields.
• Certifications in Investment Banking, Financial Modelling, CFA (Level 1+), or similar are preferred.
• Freshers and candidates with relevant internships are encouraged to apply.
