Job Description

Responsibilities



  • Sales & Business Development

  • Achieve sales and profitability targets across CIS markets (Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, etc.).
  • Develop and execute business strategies to expand market share in branded generics and specialty segments.
  • Identify new business opportunities, product launches, and growth drivers in line with market needs.
  • Market & Distributor Management

  • Manage and build strong relationships with distributors, channel partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Monitor distributor performance, ensure optimum inventory levels, and track secondary sales.
  • Provide regular market insights, competitor analysis, and pricing trends for strategic decision-making.
  • Regulatory & Compliance

  • Coordinate with internal regulatory teams to ensure timely product registrations and renewals.
  • Ensure compliance with local laws, pharma codes, and Ajanta Pharma’s ethical standards.
  • Work closely with supply chain and logistics to ensure smooth operations in line with local regulations.
  • People & Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), medical professionals, and trade partners.
  • Coordinate with marketing teams to execute promotional strategies and scientific engagements.
  • Train and support distributor teams for product knowledge and sales effectiveness.




Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)



  • Achievement of annual sales & profitability targets.
  • Distributor performance & market coverage.
  • New product registrations & launches in CIS markets.
  • Market share growth in key therapeutic categories.
  • Compliance and adherence to regulatory guidelines.



Qualifications



  • MBA / PG in Marketing, International Business, or equivalent.
  • 8–12 years of experience in international pharmaceutical sales, with at least 4–5 years in CIS markets.
  • Strong understanding of branded generics business, regulatory environment, and distribution models in CIS countries.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of Russian will be a strong advantage.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and cross-cultural communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within CIS markets.
