Summary
Lead the design and implementation of a world-class internal control framework across global operations. This role is pivotal in strengthening the second line of defense, ensuring financial integrity, and driving compliance with evolving regulatory landscapes.
Position Description
Support Global Process Owners and Segment Internal Control teams to drive global controls design for operational processes and build a strong second line of defense to ensure the integrity of financial reporting and compliance with regulations
Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities
Develop and implement the Internal Control strategy aligned with the company s overall objectives.
Drive Global Risk assessment process to identify, assess and prioritize financial and operating risks
Design, implement, and maintain an effective internal control framework
Drive a strong governance model to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards and best practices eg SOX, ESG, COSO, etc
Coordinate with internal and external auditors to build a well coordinated internal controls monitoring plan
Design and implement a Finding governance model to drive timely and effective remediation of all Finance related issues (internal/external audit, FRL, MCVs, SOX, operational, etc.)
Provide guidance and direction to Segments to implement global controls design and policies
Communicate internal control issues and recommendations clearly and effectively across the organization
Engage with internal (DTS, GBS, Finance, Supply Chain, Commercial etc) and external stakeholders to understand their internal controls needs
Leadership Competencies
Ability to build and manage strong relationships with key stakeholders
Capability of anticipating future trends and their impact on the internal control environment.
Analytical skills: strong analytical abilities to assess risks, evaluate controls and interpret data. Proficiency in identifying patterns, issues and opportunities for improvement
Strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and teamwork across functions. Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and build consensus
Flexibility to adapt to changing business environments and priorities
Ability to influence stakeholders and negotiate effectively to implement internal control changes
Ability to lead and develop a high-performing team. Focus on mentoring, coaching and fostering professional growth
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources and meet deadlines
In-depth knowledge of internal control frameworks (eg, SOX, COSO) and relevant regulations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate internal control issues and recommendations
Educational Qualification
Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, CIA, or equivalent certification strongly preferred; 12+ years of experience in internal controls, audit, or risk management in a global organization. Experience in big 4 audit firm strongly preferred.
