Role (Standardized Title): HR & Business Development Intern
— On-site role based in India. This internship offers hands-on exposure to recruitment operations and sales outreach in an HR consultancy setting.Role & Responsibilities
- Source and screen candidates via job boards, LinkedIn, referrals and campus channels; maintain candidate pipelines in the ATS/CRM.
- Coordinate end-to-end interview logistics — schedule interviews, collect feedback, and manage offer process communications.
- Conduct initial candidate assessments and shortlisting based on job briefs; produce concise candidate summaries for consultants and clients.
- Support business development activities: lead research, cold outreach (email/phone/LinkedIn), and follow-ups to generate qualified leads.
- Prepare and maintain recruitment and BD reporting — track metrics (applications, interviews, conversions) in Excel/Sheets for weekly review.
- Collaborate with consultants to develop role briefs, improve job descriptions, and participate in client meetings as required.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or related field; strong academic record.
- Basic experience or familiarity with recruitment workflows, candidate sourcing and interview coordination.
- Comfortable with outbound outreach: cold calls, LinkedIn messages and email cadence for lead generation.
- Proficient in MS Excel / Google Sheets for tracking and simple analysis; organised with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; professional phone and email etiquette.
Preferred
- Exposure to ATS/CRM platforms (Zoho Recruit, Freshteam, HubSpot or similar) and basic data-entry accuracy.
- Prior internship or project experience in recruitment, campus hiring, or B2B sales/BD in services.
