Interior Designer

The Interior Designer will support the real estate development team by designing high-impact interiors for residential units, common areas, clubhouses, sample flats, sales galleries, offices, and hospitality assets. The role focuses on creating market-driven, cost-efficient, and scalable interior solutions that enhance the value, functionality, and brand identity of the developer’s projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design Strategy & Concept Development

• Develop interior design concepts aligned with the project’s target customer segment, brand positioning, and overall development vision.
• Work with the marketing and sales teams to study buyer preferences, market trends, and competitor designs.
• Prepare concept presentations, mood boards, 3D renders, finishes, and FF&E proposals for internal approval.

2. Unit & Common Area Design

• Design typical unit layouts, model apartments, and interior finishes for all unit configurations.
• Create technical drawings, detailed layouts, and specifications for corridors, lobbies, clubhouses, amenities, and other common spaces.
• Standardize finishes and design packages across multiple towers/phases to ensure consistency and cost efficiency.

3. Project & Cross-Functional Coordination

• Collaborate with architects, MEP consultants, structural engineers, and landscape teams to integrate interiors into overall project design.
• Work with the procurement team to prepare BOQs, material specifications, and vendor lists.
• Coordinate with site execution teams to ensure design intent is accurately executed on-site.

4. Vendor, Material & Cost Management

• Source materials, finishes, and FF&E that meet cost, quality, and timeline requirements.
• Evaluate vendor proposals, negotiate pricing, and approve samples.
• Optimize design solutions for cost efficiency without compromising quality or brand standards.

5. Marketing & Sales Support

• Design and oversee the execution of show flats, mock-ups, and sales experience centers.
• Support the marketing team with design inputs for brochures, VR tours, and digital collateral.
• Ensure interior designs enhance the marketability and perceived value of the property.

6. Quality Control & Execution Monitoring

• Conduct periodic site visits to ensure workmanship, materials, and installation align with approved designs.
• Resolve design-related issues during construction.
• Conduct final inspections and ensure smooth handovers of completed units and common areas.

Qualifications & SkillsEducation

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.

Experience

• 7-8+ years of interior design experience, preferably with real estate developers, large real estate projects, or design-build firms.
• Experience with residential high-rises, commercial developments, or mixed-use projects is a strong plus.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max, V-Ray, or similar design tools.
• Strong understanding of real estate development processes, building codes, and construction methodologies.
• Expertise in material selection, finishing standards, and FF&E design.

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Strong stakeholder coordination skills.
• Detail-oriented, creative, and able to balance design aesthetics with cost and feasibility.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven project environments.
