Educational Qualification Essential qualifications include a BE, B.Tech, or M.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, or Electrical Engineering, with 2 to 8 years of relevant experience in the tech industry such as wireless telecom, software, or semiconductors, including patent analysis and OSS compliance. Key Responsibilities The role involves educating and motivating engineers about the creation and protection of intellectual property. Conducting ideation workshops and coordinating with various business units to encourage new idea generation and submissions is an important part of the role. The candidate will work closely with R&D engineers to review ideas and improve the conversion rate of invention disclosures to patents. Evaluating ideas for patentability and identifying key features for patent protection is a critical responsibility, alongside performing patent studies concerning patentability, freedom to operate, invalidation, state-of-the-art searches, and infringement analysis across diverse technologies. Managing and ensuring compliance with open-source software licensing is also a key part of the position.
