Job Title: Sales Executive – Bancassurance, Direct Sales & Agency Channel Department: Sales & Distribution Location: Borivali/ Ville Parle / Vashi/ Thane/ Pune/ Ahmednagar/ Aurangabad/ Nagpur/ Goa/ Kolhapur Reporting To: Sales Manager/ Branch Manager/ Area Sales Manager Package: 3.5lpa for Direct Distribution & Agency Channel and 3.25lpa for Bancasurance Key Responsibilities Bancassurance Channel: • Promote and sell insurance products through assigned partner bank branches. • Build and maintain strong relationships with bank staff to generate referrals and drive business. • Conduct joint customer meetings with bank representatives to pitch insurance offerings. • Meet defined sales and activity targets from the branch channel. • Ensure high-quality customer experience and accurate documentation as per compliance norms. Direct Distribution Channel: • Acquire new customers through cold calling, field visits, and referrals. • Generate leads and manage the entire sales lifecycle—from prospecting to closure. • Cross-sell and up-sell financial products based on customer needs. • Conduct presentations and meetings to educate clients about product features, benefits, and risks. • Maintain strong follow-ups and post-sales servicing with high-value clients. • Update CRM tools and maintain accurate sales MIS and reports. Agency Channel: • Recruit and Activate Advisors: Identify and onboard quality life insurance advisors from the local market. • Train and Develop Advisors: Ensure advisors are well-trained in product knowledge, sales skills, and regulatory guidelines. • Drive Sales Through Advisors: Guide and support advisors to generate life insurance business and achieve monthly targets. • Monitor and Motivate Advisors: Regularly review advisor performance, provide feedback, and keep them motivated to drive productivity. • Field Work and Joint Calls: Accompany advisors on client meetings to help them close sales and improve effectiveness. • Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all advisor documentation and business sourcing complies with IRDA and company standards. • Retention and Persistency: Focus on advisor retention and ensure policy renewals through continuous engagement. Key Skills & Competencies • Proven track record in insurance or liability product sales (FD, RD, CASA, LI, GI, HI). • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities. • Target-oriented and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and with partners. • Familiarity with CRM systems, digital tools, and MS Office. Qualifications & Experience • Education: Graduate (mandatory) – preferably in Business, Finance, or Marketing. • Age: 25 to 38 years for Direct Distribution & Agency Channel and 25 to 30 years for Bancasurance • Experience: 6 months to 2 years in BFSI sales, preferably in insurance or banking (liability products mandatory). • Industry Preference: o Life / Health / General Insurance o Banks (Private or PSU) o NBFCs offering deposits and insurance o Wealth Management / Financial Services
