Job Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a proactive and skilled IT Technician with around 1.5 years of hands-on experience to support our organization’s IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer systems, networks, and hardware to ensure smooth operations. This role requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving ability, and excellent communication skills to assist employees and maintain system reliability.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, networks, and peripheral devices.
  • Perform routine system maintenance tasks, including software updates, system backups, and antivirus management.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Monitor network performance, resolve connectivity issues, and ensure secure and stable network operations.
  • Assist in setting up new workstations, including hardware installation, software configuration, and network connection.
  • Support end-users by providing technical assistance and guidance on hardware, software, and network problems.
  • Maintain and document IT inventory, including hardware, software licenses, and service records.
  • Assist in implementing IT policies, security protocols, and data protection measures.
  • Coordinate with vendors for hardware and software procurement, maintenance, and service.
  • Provide on-site and remote support as required.


Requirements:

  • 1.5 years of professional experience as an IT Technician, IT Support Engineer, or similar role.
  • Good knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and networking concepts (LAN, WAN, TCP/IP).
  • Hands-on experience with installing and configuring routers, switches, printers, and other peripheral devices.
  • Familiarity with common software applications and tools (MS Office, antivirus solutions, remote desktop software).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
  • Good understanding of network troubleshooting, system monitoring, and security best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic knowledge of server administration is a plus.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+) are an advantage.
