About the Role

The IT Support Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems and providing technical support to our users. This position involves a variety of responsibilities, from system management to user support.

Responsibilities

• System & Network Management:

  Install, configure, and maintain servers, computers, software, and network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls).

• Technical Support:

  Troubleshoot and resolve user-reported issues (hardware, software, connectivity).

• User & Access Management:

  Create/manage user accounts, permissions, and email settings.

• Security:

  Deploy security policies, monitor for threats, manage firewalls, and perform data backups/recovery.

• Performance Monitoring:

  Oversee system health, network performance, and security logs.

• Planning & Development:

  Research new tech, plan upgrades, and improve IT systems.

Qualifications

Education details: A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

Required Skills

• Strong problem-solving & resourcefulness.
• Knowledge of networks (LAN/WAN), operating systems (Windows, Linux), and cloud platforms.
• Communication skills for user training and support.
• Familiarity with security best practices.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with IT helpdesk ticketing systems.
• Vendor management experience.
