Information Technology System Administrator

Role Overview: You will be joining Agnikul, a company dedicated to making space accessible to everyone by designing, building, testing, and launching orbital-class rockets for small satellites in India. As a Systems Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the IT hardware ecosystem to support cutting-edge aerospace engineering. Key Responsibilities: - Set up, configure, and maintain IT hardware such as servers, workstations, and networking devices. - Manage system backups, data recovery, and disaster recovery plans. - Monitor system performance, resolve issues proactively, and implement cybersecurity best practices. - Manage user access controls, permissions, and account provisioning. - Keep an inventory of IT assets, plan hardware upgrades, and provide technical support and training to team members. - Work with vendors and service providers to ensure smooth IT operations and document IT policies, procedures, and best practices. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience. - Some experience in system administration or IT support. - Strong expertise in Windows, Linux, and/or macOS environments, networking hardware, and protocols. - Solid understanding of IT security principles and best practices. - Experience with cloud services like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus. - Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues quickly, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and the flexibility to work extended hours as needed.
