Information Technology System Administrator

As an IT System Admin with 5-10 years of experience, your role will involve the following responsibilities: - Evaluate and process incoming software requests through the ticketing system, following standardized review and testing procedures. - Communicate with requesters and stakeholders to clarify requirements, provide updates, and deliver test results. - Set up sandbox test environments across Windows, Linux, and macOS systems for secure software evaluation. - Perform component analysis to detect, document, and track software components, libraries, and versions. - Monitor network traffic and analyze firewall rule impact. - Review update mechanisms and software behavior. - Perform privilege escalation checks and security validation. - Assess cloud/remote communication behavior. - Conduct CVE analysis of identified components, correlate with known vulnerabilities, and assess impact. - Use forensic and analysis tools such as: - Procmon (Process monitoring and analysis) - Regshot (Registry change tracking) - Wireshark (Network packet capture and analysis) - Generate standardized test reports and documentation for each evaluated software, ensuring compliance and reproducibility. - Work closely with security, IT operations, and compliance teams to ensure safe deployment and risk mitigation. Qualifications required for this role include: - Strong background in system administration (Windows, Linux, macOS). - Experience with ticketing systems (Jira, ServiceNow, etc.) and workflow management. - Hands-on expertise with sandbox setup, virtualization, or containerization (VMware, VirtualBox, Docker, or similar). - Proven ability to use Procmon, Regshot, and Wireshark for in-depth software and system analysis. - Familiarity with firewall policies, IAM, and network security principles. - Knowledge of CVE databases and vulnerability analysis practices. - Strong skills in documenting test results and producing professional reports. - Good communication skills to interact with requesters and stakeholders.,
