Roles & Responsibilities

Industrial Product Designer

🔹 Design & Conceptualization

• Create aesthetically appealing, ergonomic, and functional product designs for

  tea & coffee vending machines

  and other upcoming automation products.
• Translate

  user insights

  ,

  engineering requirements

  , and

  manufacturing constraints

  into practical design concepts.
• Develop

  3D models, renders, and mockups

  for presentation and review using CAD tools (SolidWorks, Rhino, Creo and Keyshot).
• Design

  modular components, enclosures, and panels

  for manufacturability (sheet metal, plastic molding, die-casting, etc.).

🔹 Collaboration & Prototyping

• Work closely with

  mechanical, electrical, and electronics engineers

  to ensure design feasibility and integration.
• Oversee

  prototype development

  —from rapid prototyping (3D printing, laser cutting) to assembly trials.
• Iterate designs based on testing feedback from R&D and field performance.

🔹 User Experience (UX) & Interface Integration

• Collaborate with software/UI teams to ensure

  intuitive human–machine interfaces (HMI)

  for ease of use and visual appeal.
• Focus on

  operator convenience

  ,

  accessibility

  maintenance efficiency

  in every design.

🔹 Research & Benchmarking

• Study market trends, competitor products, materials, and global appliance design standards.
• Explore

  sustainable design practices

  —material optimization, recyclability, and modularity.
• Document and present design rationales, sketches, and concept boards to the management and R&D team.

🔹 Cross-Product Design Involvement

• Contribute to future kitchen automation appliances — applying the same design thinking and ergonomics principles.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Your success will be measured by:

• Design Quality:

  Functionality, manufacturability, and aesthetic coherence of designs.

• Prototype Turnaround Time:

  Speed and accuracy in moving from concept to prototype.

• User Experience (UX) Score:

  Feedback from internal testing and end users.

• Design-to-Manufacture Efficiency:

  Reduction in rework, material wastage, or assembly time due to design optimization.

• Innovation Contribution:

  Number of new design concepts or process improvements initiated.

• Cross-Department Collaboration:

  Positive feedback from R&D, production, and procurement teams.

Skills & Traits Required

🧠 Technical & Design Skills

• Bachelor’s / Master’s in

  Industrial Design / Product Design / Mechanical Design Engineering

  (or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Industrial Product Designer in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Proficiency in industry-standard design softwares and visualization tools such as SolidWorks, Rhino, Creo and Keyshot. Knowledge of any other product design software would be a plus.
• Strong understanding of

  materials, manufacturing processes, sheet metal design, plastic molding, and finishing techniques

  .
• Experience designing

  consumer appliances, vending machines, or industrial products

  preferred.
• Familiarity with

  ergonomic principles, UX design, and safety compliance

  .

  ₹37,000 - ₹50,000 per month (including PF, PT and allowances) depending on candidate's skills and experience.
