Industrial Product Designer

You are a talented and innovative Industrial Product Designer who will be joining Dwarka Castings and Engineering Pvt. Ltd. in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. Dwarka is a leading manufacturer of high-quality decorative and industrial metal castings, known for timeless, intricate, and heritage-inspired designs. Your role will involve the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept and research to prototyping and collaboration with engineering and production teams. - Design and Conceptualization: Develop innovative product concepts and designs for outdoor lighting solutions, street furniture, and customized metal products. - Research & Development: Conduct comprehensive research on market trends, user needs, and material innovations. Stay updated with the latest advancements in casting and metalworking techniques. - Prototyping & Modeling: Create detailed sketches, 2D and 3D models, and physical prototypes. Utilize CAD software like SolidWorks and AutoCAD for technical drawings. - Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure designs are feasible for manufacturing and meet quality standards. - Quality & Functionality: Evaluate product safety, appearance, and function to optimize designs for usability, durability, and cost-efficiency. - Presentation: Prepare and present design concepts, prototypes, and final work to management and clients for evaluation and feedback. Qualifications & Skills: - Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field. - Proven experience in industrial or product design, preferably focusing on metal products or furniture. - Strong portfolio showcasing design projects from concept to final product. - Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and 3D rendering tools. - Excellent artistic ability, attention to detail, and aesthetic sense. - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to balance creativity with technical constraints. - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams. - Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, materials (especially metal casting), and production costs.
