Job Summary

Dwarka is seeking a talented and innovative Industrial Product Designer to join our team. We are a leading manufacturer of high-quality decorative and industrial metal castings, known for our timeless, intricate, and heritage-inspired designs. The ideal candidate will be a creative problem-solver with a passion for designing products that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional, manufacturable, and aligned with our commitment to quality and heritage. This role involves the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept and research to prototyping and collaboration with our engineering and production teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and Conceptualization: Develop innovative product concepts and designs for our core product lines, including outdoor lighting solutions, street furniture, and customized metal products.
• Research & Development: Conduct comprehensive research on market trends, user needs, and material innovations to inform design decisions. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in casting and metalworking techniques.
• Prototyping & Modeling: Create detailed sketches, 2D and 3D models, and physical prototypes to visualize and test designs. Utilize CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to produce technical drawings and blueprints.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, craftsmen, and production staff, to ensure designs are feasible for manufacturing and meet our quality standards.
• Quality & Functionality: Evaluate product safety, appearance, and function, recommending adjustments to optimize designs for usability, durability, and cost-efficiency.
• Presentation: Prepare and present design concepts, prototypes, and final work to management and clients for evaluation and feedback.

Qualifications & Skills

• A bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field.
• Proven experience in industrial or product design, preferably with a focus on metal products, furniture, or a related field.
• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects from concept to final product.
• Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and 3D rendering tools.
• Excellent artistic ability and a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to balance creativity with technical constraints.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• A solid understanding of manufacturing processes, materials (especially metal casting), and production costs.
