About Team:
Our team collaborates with Walmart International, which has over 5,900 retail units operating outside of the United States under 55 banners in 26 countries including Africa, Argentina, Canada, Central America, Chile, China, India, Japan, and Mexico, to name a few.
What you'll do:
- Develop and maintain test automation frameworks for Android and iOS mobile applications and Java API microservices using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
- Design and execute comprehensive test plans. This includes collaborating with product, development, and QA teams to understand requirements, define test strategies, and create detailed test plans and scenarios covering functional, non-functional (performance, security), and regression testing.
- Implement automated tests. Develop and maintain automated test scripts for both mobile and API layers using Java, Selenium, Appium, RestAssured, and other relevant tools.
- Integrate with CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and rapid, reliable releases.
- Troubleshoot and debug software defects, collaborating closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
- Ensure code quality by participating in code reviews and providing feedback on testability and best practices, aiming for high code coverage and improved software quality.
- Conduct performance, scalability, and security testing on both mobile apps and backend APIs, identifying and reporting bottlenecks and vulnerabilities.
- Manage and maintain test environments and test data to ensure consistent and reliable test execution.
- Create and maintain clear documentation of test cases, test plans, and test results, providing comprehensive reports to stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively within an Agile team, potentially mentoring junior QA testers on automation best practices.
What you'll bring:
- Strong programming skills, proficient in Java, with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts, data structures, and algorithms.
- Extensive experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test suites for mobile (Android/iOS) and API applications.
- Highly proficient with Appium for mobile app automation.
- Strong experience with API automation tools such as RestAssured or Karate.
- Experience with Selenium WebDriver for web-based applications.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks such as TestNG or JUnit.
- Strong understanding of SQL and experience with Azure SQL Database for querying and data validation.
- Experience working with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub Actions for integrating automated tests.
- Experience with cloud services and testing applications deployed on platforms like Azure.
- Proficient in using Git and platforms like GitLab, Bitbucket, or GitHub.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment (Scrum/Kanban).
- Ability to quickly diagnose issues, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical information and work closely with cross-functional teams.
- Commitment to ensuring high-quality software and staying updated with the latest industry trends and testing methodologies.
- Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Knowledge of security testing principles and tools.
- Familiarity with behaviour-driven development (BDD) frameworks like Cucumber.
