As a Human Resources Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the HR department to ensure organizational success. Your responsibilities will include: - Supporting employee onboarding and orientation programs to facilitate smooth integration of new hires. - Coordinating benefits administration activities, such as enrollment, changes, and inquiries related to health insurance, workers' compensation, and other employee benefits. - Assisting with employee evaluations and performance review documentation to contribute to performance management initiatives. - Supporting compliance efforts related to FMLA, OSHA regulations, affirmative action planning, and labor law adherence. - Participating in change management projects, organization design, and workforce planning strategies. - Addressing inquiries, managing conflict resolution processes, and supporting employee engagement programs to facilitate employee relations activities. - Scheduling training sessions, maintaining training records, and contributing to training & development initiatives. - Collecting data for HR analytics, preparing reports on HR metrics using tools like Salesforce, or data collection platforms. - Performing administrative tasks such as data entry, contract management, and maintaining accurate documentation for audits or legal compliance. Qualifications required for this role include: - Proven experience in human resources management or administrative roles within HR departments. - Knowledge of employment & labor law regulations, including OSHA standards and workers' compensation procedures. - Experience with talent acquisition tools like ATS systems (iCIMS, Taleo) and social media management for recruiting purposes. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle confidential information professionally. - Demonstrated ability in project management, data collection & analysis, conflict management, and organizational design. - Prior experience with training & development programs or employee engagement initiatives is a plus.
