Position Overview

HR Manager

The ideal candidate will be hands-on, process-driven, and capable of aligning HR practices with organizational goals while fostering a positive and compliant workplace culture.

Role & responsibilities

1. Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Manage the full recruitment cycle manpower planning, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Partner with department heads to define hiring needs and job descriptions.
  • Ensure smooth induction and documentation for all new hires.

2. Payroll & HR Operations

  • Oversee monthly payroll processing, attendance, and leave management.
  • Ensure statutory deductions (PF, ESI, PT, TDS, gratuity) are processed accurately and on time.
  • Maintain HRIS and employee records with confidentiality.

3. Statutory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all labour laws applicable to manufacturing units (Factories Act, ESI, PF, Shops & Establishment, Minimum Wages, etc.).
  • Maintain statutory registers, liaise with government departments, and handle inspections or audits.

4. Employee Engagement & Welfare

  • Design and execute employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and internal communication.
  • Foster a positive work culture through regular feedback sessions and grievance handling.
  • Plan employee welfare activities, health & safety awareness, and cultural programs.

5. Training & Development

  • Identify training needs through regular performance discussions.
  • Coordinate internal/external training sessions and maintain records of employee development programs.

6. Performance Management

  • Implement and monitor the performance appraisal system.
  • Support managers in setting KPIs and evaluating performance fairly and transparently.

7. Administration & Facilities

  • Manage general administration related to office, attendance, canteen, uniforms, housekeeping, etc.
  • Coordinate with vendors and ensure smooth facility operations.

8. Exit & Full & Final Settlement

  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze attrition trends.
  • Ensure timely full & final settlements, clearance, and documentation.

Preferred candidate profile

Education:

  • MBA / PGDM in Human Resource Management or equivalent qualification.

Experience:

  • 7 to 12 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in a

    manufacturing / industrial setup

    .
  • Experience handling HR independently or as the primary HR contact for a mid-sized organization is essential.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Sound knowledge of Indian labour laws and statutory compliance.
  • Strong in recruitment, payroll management, and employee relations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and HR software tools.
  • Organized, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Language Proficiency:

  • Fluency in

    English and Kannada

    is preferred.
