Job Description

Techno-Functional Business Analyst

not a Benefits Administration/HR Operations role

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather requirements from

    Total Rewards/Benefits stakeholders

    (e.g., Benefits Managers, Health & Welfare Managers, Total Rewards Directors).
  • Prepare

    Business Requirement Documents (BRD), workflow design, and policy documentation

    .
  • Liaise with the

    IT team

    to explain requirements and ensure accurate implementation in

    Oracle HCM/Workday

    .
  • Work with

    vendors and external systems

    (e.g., 401k portals, health & welfare providers) to define integration requirements with Oracle/Workday.
  • Download and analyze

    OTBI (Oracle) / TIB (Workday) reports

    to validate system changes and ensure data accuracy.
  • Conduct

    User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

    in sandbox/testing environments; provide feedback to IT before production go-live.
  • Support

    pre-go-live, go-live, and post-go-live activities

    to ensure smooth functioning of benefits systems and integrations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory changes (e.g., ACA, COBRA rules, age-based eligibility changes, etc.) by coordinating system updates.

Key Skills & Experience

  • 4–8 years of experience as a

    Business Analyst / Functional Analyst / HRIS Analyst

    in

    US Benefits domain

    .
  • Strong knowledge of

    US Benefits programs

    – 401(k), COBRA, Medical, Dental, Vision, Health Savings Account (HSA), Flexible Spending Account (FSA).
  • Hands-on experience with

    Oracle Fusion HCM Benefits

    or

    Workday Benefits

    module is mandatory.
  • Experience working with

    OTBI / TIB reports, integrations, and vendor file exchanges

    .
  • Ability to create

    BRDs, workflows, test scripts, and process documentation

    .
  • Strong understanding of

    pre-go-live, go-live, and post-go-live testing cycles

    .
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise between

    business stakeholders and IT teams

    .
  • Should have

    project coordination skills

    but not required to do system configuration directly.

Good to Have

  • Experience with large-scale

    Total Rewards/Benefits projects

    in U.S. or multinational companies.
  • Exposure to

    compliance-driven changes

    (ACA, HIPAA, IRS limits, COBRA eligibility rules).
  • Vendor coordination experience (Alight, Fidelity, Aon Hewitt, Mercer, etc.).
