Job Description

Human Resource Officer


Key Responsibilities


1. Workforce Planning & Recruitment

  • Assess current and future workforce requirements for both the machine shop and the foundry.
  • Identify critical skill shortages and develop recruitment strategies.
  • Conduct interviews and selection processes in coordination with department heads.
  • Ensure smooth onboarding and induction of new employees.


2. Identifying Skill Gaps & Training Needs

  • Conduct skills gap analysis by working closely with department heads.
  • Develop and implement training programs tailored for:
  • Foundry operations (e.g., molding, melting, casting quality control).
  • Machine shop processes (e.g., CNC machining, tooling, inspection methods).
  • Organize in-house and external training programs, including technical workshops, safety training, and leadership development.
  • Maintain training records and assess training effectiveness.


3. Employee Performance & Development

  • Monitor employee performance and coordinate performance appraisals.
  • Work with department managers to define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Develop career growth plans and succession planning for key positions.


4. Compliance & HR Policies

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, health & safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures.
  • Manage disciplinary procedures and conflict resolution within the organization.


5. Employee Engagement & Retention

  • Implement employee motivation and retention programs.
  • Address employee grievances and promote a healthy work environment.
  • Organize team-building activities to improve collaboration.


6. Compensation & Benefits Management

  • Manage payroll processing, attendance tracking, and leave management.
  • Oversee employee benefits programs, including health insurance and incentive schemes.
  • Conduct salary benchmarking and recommend compensation improvements.


7. Industrial Relations & Communication

  • Maintain good relations between management and employees.
  • Act as a liaison between workers and management to ensure smooth communication.
  • Mediate disputes and negotiate employment terms when required.


Key Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in human resource management, Business Administration, or Industrial Relations.
  • Knowledge of labor laws, safety regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in training & development, recruitment, and performance management.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficiency in HR software and ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of technical skillsets required for foundry and machining operations.
