Job Description

Role Overview: You have the opportunity to join as an HR Manager for a leading Pharma Client based in Luanda, Angola. In this role, you will play a crucial part in contributing to and implementing the company's people strategy in the region. Your responsibilities will include driving talent management, engagement, and cultural-shift initiatives, working closely with business leadership and the global HR team to ensure sustained growth. Key Responsibilities: - Translate business needs into commercially driven HR action plans as part of the regional leadership team - Oversee the delivery of initiatives in performance management, talent development, and compensation consistency within the global people strategy framework - Build an open and inclusive environment that promotes employee excellence through Talent management, Succession Planning, Talent Retention, and identifying high potential future leaders - Support the leadership team in developing and promoting a performance-driven culture and ensuring the right people are in the right place at the right time - Assist the regional leadership in strategic growth objectives, including M&A activities and organizational design - Provide technical leadership on employee/labor relations and drive people initiatives and programs in the region - Maintain effective relations with trade unions, IR partners, and employees to promote harmony and business effectiveness - Consolidate sub-regional HR data and performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives in driving organizational performance and cost containment - Support HR transformation and adoption of HRMS in the region - Collaborate with regional leadership to drive the succession planning program and rewards program aimed at boosting employee performance Qualifications Required: - 10 years of experience leading regional HR function as a Business Partner in a sales-based environment - Knowledge of HR programs, processes, labor regulations, and cultures in the sub-Saharan Africa region - Understanding of organizational concepts including team management, organizational design, resource utilization, and workforce planning - Proven experience in handling HR matters related to acquisitions, due diligence, restructuring, and HR startups - Previous experience in a pharmaceutical, consumer goods, or healthcare-adjacent setting preferred - Strong personal credibility, interpersonal skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships with senior business leaders and staff - Excellent consulting and communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders - Experience working cross-culturally with diverse colleagues,
