Job Summary:

The HR Generalist is responsible for managing the day-to-day HR operations, ensuring smooth execution of HR policies and procedures and supporting various HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, training and compliance. This role serves as a bridge between employees and management to maintain a positive and productive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Coordinate and execute end-to-end recruitment processes - job posting, screening, interviewing and offer management.
  • Prepare offer letters, appointment letters and maintain recruitment records.
  • Conduct employee onboarding, induction and orientation programs.

2. Attendance, Payroll & Leave Management

  • Maintain employee attendance, leave records and coordinate with payroll team for salary processing.
  • Ensure accuracy in attendance and leave data before monthly payroll submission.
  • Handle employee queries related to salary, deductions and benefits.

3. Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Act as the first point of contact for employee concerns or grievances.
  • Support implementation of employee engagement and welfare initiatives.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

4. Performance Management

  • Assist in goal setting, appraisal coordination, and performance evaluation processes.
  • Track probation reviews, confirmations, and increment processes.

5. HR Policies & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as PF, ESI, PT, Gratuity, etc.
  • Maintain employee personnel files and HR documentation.
  • Support implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures.

6. Training & Development

  • Identify training needs in consultation with department heads.
  • Coordinate employee training sessions and track participation and feedback.

7. Exit & Final Settlement

  • Manage employee offboarding, including resignation acceptance, clearance, and final settlement.
  • Conduct exit interviews and prepare exit reports.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Human Resources / Business Administration or related field.
  • 1–5 years of experience in HR Generalist or similar HR roles.
  • Strong knowledge of HR functions, Payroll, labour laws and statutory compliance.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and HRIS/Payroll software.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
