Job Description

The HR Manager will be responsible for designing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and initiatives aligned with our organizational objectives. This role will require hands-on experience and strategic foresight across key HR domains: Recruitment & Selection, Employee Relations, Training & Development, Performance Management, Compliance & Policy Management, Compensation & Benefits and Strategic HR Planning.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Recruitment & Selection:

  • Develop and execute end-to-end recruitment strategies for all levels, including workforce planning.
  • Collaborate with department heads to forecast hiring needs.
  • Manage job postings, screening, shortlisting, interviews, and selection processes.
  • Partner with recruitment agencies and job portals as necessary.
  • Implement employer branding strategies to attract top talent.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring cycle.

2. Employee Relations:

  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance work culture.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns and grievances.
  • Mediate and resolve conflicts in a fair and legal manner.
  • Conduct regular employee engagement surveys and act on feedback.
  • Promote effective internal communication across teams and departments.

3. Training & Development:

  • Assess training needs through performance evaluations and business goals.
  • Design, coordinate, and evaluate training programs for employees at all levels.
  • Develop leadership development initiatives and succession planning.
  • Maintain training records and measure ROI on learning and development investments.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and development.

4. Performance Management:

  • Lead the performance appraisal process including goal setting, mid-year, and annual reviews.
  • Work with managers to develop KPIs and competency-based evaluation criteria.
  • Identify and support interventions for underperformers.
  • Link performance reviews to career development and reward programs.
  • Use performance data for workforce planning and strategic decision-making.

5. Compliance & Policy Management:

  • Ensure HR policies and procedures comply with labor laws and best practices.
  • Develop and update HR manuals, employee handbooks, and code of conduct.
  • Monitor statutory compliance (PF, ESI, Gratuity, Shops & Establishment Act, etc.).
  • Conduct periodic HR audits and compliance training sessions.
  • Liaise with legal and regulatory bodies as necessary.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management / Business Administration / Psychology or related field. MBA/PGDM in HR preferred.
  • 4–6 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
