We have a rare and exciting opportunity to recruit a HR Assistant to join our MEIA sub-region on a part-time basis (20 hours per week). This is a true generalist HR role that provides a brilliant opportunity to develop your HR career within a global prestige business.

This role will have particular focus for our operations in India, and will be the first point of contact for India-related HR queries and support the HR Advisor in ensuring all HR processes are fully compliant with India employment laws and local regulations. This role will support and coach line managers on various people matters.

Make an Impact

Day to day, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Regulatory compliance: Support the HR Advisor in ensuring the organisation’s compliance with all applicable labour and employment laws in India, including Central and State level legislations and to mitigate risk related to workforce management compliances
  • Work in close collaboration with the HR Advisor and central resourcing team to coordinate recruitment, ensure that all vacancies are managed effectively from point of discussing resource requirements through to advertisement, offer and on-boarding.
  • Support the delivery of the local (day 1) HR Induction process.
  • Support the organisation of local learning and development activities.
  • Proactively Support HR policy development and administration.
  • Support the handling employment related disputes such as investigations, disciplinary, grievances and enquiries
  • Support with the Well-being and DE&I agendas
  • Proactively support with HR policy development and administration
  • Ensure all data required for payroll is processed accurately and on time.

Your Talent and Skills

To be successful in of this role you will have previous experience in a similar HR position with up to date knowledge and practical experience of Indian employment and compliance laws. You will be approachable, proactive and able to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. You will have a passion for Generalist HR with the ability to plan for short- and long-term workload and be IT literate with strong experience of utilising HR technology.
