Job Description

Role Overview

The HR & Administration Associate will play a dual role — supporting end-to-end HR processes while managing daily administrative and operational tasks. This position ensures smooth employee lifecycle management, office coordination, vendor support, and compliance with company policies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, people-friendly, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced startup environment.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources

  • Assist in recruitment and onboarding of new hires (job postings, shortlisting, interviews, offer letters, induction).
  • Maintain and update employee records, attendance, and leave management systems.
  • Support payroll preparation by providing accurate attendance and data inputs.
  • Coordinate performance reviews, feedback sessions, and employee engagement activities.
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are communicated and adhered to.
  • Manage employee grievances, exit formalities, and handover checklists.

Administration

  • Oversee daily office operations — stationery, supplies, housekeeping, and vendor management.
  • Coordinate with IT and procurement teams for employee asset issuance (laptops, devices, SIM cards, etc.).
  • Handle travel arrangements, reimbursements, and logistics for internal and external meetings.
  • Manage office maintenance, safety protocols, and administrative compliance.
  • Support management in documentation, filing, and correspondence.

Compliance & Coordination

  • Maintain confidentiality of HR and company data.
  • Assist in statutory compliance (EPF, ESIC, professional tax, labor laws, etc.).
  • Liaise with external consultants, auditors, and government agencies when required.
  • Support HR audits, employee satisfaction surveys, and organizational reporting.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in HR and administrative roles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office / Google Workspace; familiarity with HRMS tools preferred.
  • Organized, proactive, and capable of handling sensitive information discreetly.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to a startup or fast-scaling environment.
