Housekeeping Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping Manager to lead our housekeeping team and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, orderliness, and guest satisfaction throughout the hotel. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage daily housekeeping operations including guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house, and laundry.
• Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure they meet hotel standards.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
• Recruit, train, and evaluate housekeeping staff; manage schedules and assignments.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment; manage ordering and usage.
• Handle guest complaints and requests promptly and professionally.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and hotel policies.
• Prepare reports on room status, occupancy, and departmental performance.
• Coordinate with other departments (e.g., Front Office, Maintenance) for seamless guest service.
• Lead departmental meetings and communicate goals and updates to the team.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

• Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum 5-7 years of housekeeping experience in a hotel or resort environment, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

Skills:

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Good communication skills (verbal and written).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management systems (PMS).
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of housekeeping equipment, cleaning chemicals, and safety protocols.
