Job Description

As a Housekeeping Manager at our esteemed hotel, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of room and public area cleanliness and appearance, ensuring exceptional guest service, and fostering team spirit among all staff members. It will be your duty to uphold fairness and justice in staff disciplinary actions as outlined in the hotel's staff manual. Your key tasks will include the full utilization of the Housekeeping system to generate accurate reports, effective maintenance operations prioritizing guest needs, preparation of daily and monthly housekeeping reports, and coordination with Front Office and F&B departments to maintain cleanliness standards and meet productivity goals. Additionally, you will be expected to provide management support during peak times, conduct regular room and public area checks, and carry out any other duties assigned by the management. In terms of financial responsibilities, you will collaborate with the Director of Rooms/General Manager to establish revenue and expenditure targets, develop plans to achieve these targets, control costs, and ensure departmental budget adherence through efficient inventory management. On the human resources front, you will be tasked with implementing on-the-job training programs, conducting staff inductions, fostering open communication, appraising staff performance, and creating a cohesive team environment that works towards departmental and hotel goals. You will also be responsible for ensuring staff adherence to the hotel's staff handbook, conducting performance reviews, and promoting effective communication within the department and with other hotel departments. Regarding systems and procedures, you will be expected to log and report any system issues, suggest improvements, follow departmental service standards, and adhere to outlined policies and procedures. Your focus on health and safety will involve practicing safe work habits, minimizing environmental impact, reporting hazards and accidents, ensuring equipment maintenance, and being well-versed in fire and evacuation procedures. In terms of customer service, you will lead by example in providing efficient and friendly service to guests, actively engage in problem-solving, seek and act on customer feedback, and maintain a customer-centric approach in all interactions. You will also be responsible for promptly addressing operational issues, attending to customer complaints, and maintaining good public relations. Overall, as a Housekeeping Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the department, fostering a positive work environment, maintaining high cleanliness standards, and delivering exceptional customer service in line with the hotel's values and standards.,
