Job Summary:

The House Manager is responsible for the overall management and smooth running of a private residence or estate. This role ensures that all household operations, staff, maintenance, and services are carried out to the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and discretion. The House Manager acts as the central point of contact between the principal, staff, and external vendors.

Key Responsibilities:Household Management

  • Oversee daily household operations, ensuring the property is maintained to impeccable standards.
  • Manage household budgets, petty cash, and expense reporting.
  • Maintain inventory of household supplies and oversee procurement.
  • Coordinate schedules for housekeeping, maintenance, gardening, and other service providers.
  • Ensure security and safety procedures are followed at all times.

Staff Supervision

  • Recruit, train, and supervise domestic staff (housekeepers, chefs, nannies, gardeners, drivers, etc.).
  • Prepare staff schedules and manage payroll coordination.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and ensure smooth communication among the team.

Event & Guest Management

  • Plan and execute household events, dinners, and gatherings.
  • Oversee guest arrivals, accommodations, and special requests.
  • Liaise with caterers, florists, and event vendors as needed.

Maintenance & Vendor Coordination

  • Schedule and oversee property maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
  • Liaise with contractors, landscapers, and service professionals.
  • Manage service contracts and ensure all work meets quality standards.

Administration

  • Maintain household manuals, service records, and vendor databases.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and logistics for the principals.
  • Handle confidential information with utmost discretion.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in private household or luxury hospitality management.
  • Proven ability to manage household staff and vendors.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable with digital scheduling, budgeting, and correspondence tools.
  • Discreet, trustworthy, and highly professional demeanor.
  • Flexible schedule; ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
