Hitachi Storage SME - L2 Only (Mumbai)

Shift : 24x7 Support

We are looking for Hitachi Storage L2 SME who has worked extensively on the below:

1. Candidate should have hands-on experience on Hitachi Mid-Range and Enterprise storages operations support Eg. Mid-Range F350, Enterprise G5200, G5600 (allocation, reclaim, lun expansion, lun deletion, storage disk/LDEVs formatting etc). Difference between above storages - MUST
2. Storage pool creation, pool expansion, pool deletion - MUST
3. Candidate should have hands-on experience on zoning via CISCO SAN Switches, both CLI and GUI and CCI HORCM - MUST
4. Storage replication technologies like GAD, HUR, True Copy, Local Replication etc - MUST
5. Monitoring tools - OPS Center Analyser, Hi-Track - MUST
6. Troubleshooting skills - checking performance issue at storage level, IO Errors etc - MUST
7. Good communication skills and able to manage shifts single handed - MUST

We need immediate starters only as the project is already live.

Detailed JD is as below:

A. Responsible for managing the day-to-day administration for SAN and storage environments,

including:

a. Collaborate with Customer’s storage support teams

b. Participate in problem solving and troubleshooting for the assigned task(s), functional area(s) or project(s)

c. Support the design, operation, workflow and issue resolution for the storage infrastructure

d. Help maintain systems level maintenance for storage infrastructure

e. Responsible for tracking existing storage usage trending and capacity planning for future growth

f. Maintain storage documentation, procedures and reporting

g. Provide Storage Area Network Configuration and Administration

h. Storage Allocations to server infrastructure

B. Manage infrastructure events

a. Capacity Management

b. Monitor storage subsystem and SAN switch capacity

c. Perform capacity analysis; analyze performance data and trends

d. Responsible for tracking existing storage usage trending and capacity planning for future

growth

C. Problem resolution

a. Preliminary Problem diagnosis and documentation

b. Co-ordinate with Hitachi Global Support for Incident resolution

D. Investigate and diagnose raised problem(s) or problem records for root cause analysis

a. Perform necessary storage infrastructure maintenance in accordance with best practices from Hitachi Global Support and Company change management policies

b. Interface with assigned Hitachi storage engineers to manage the implementation of all additional storage infrastructure and storage services

E. Mentor and train junior admins

F. Oversee the design, installation, configuration and de-provision of storage solutions

G. Performance Management for SAN and storage

a. Perform capacity tuning; provide remediation recommendation

H. IT Service continuity management, including monitoring of:

a. Responsible for providing Disaster Recovery solutions as it relates to SAN and NAS

storage by developing and maintaining a library of procedures for disaster recovery

documentation

b. Data movement and replication

c. Business Resumption Testing (DR) for storage.

Skill requirements from assigned onsite RE

a. 8 years+ experience in handling majority of activities mentioned in the scope above

b. Experience in handling Hitachi storages and Brocade switches infrastructure.

c. Exposure to Operations and Management activities on Hitachi Storage(s), Unified compute platforms, various Host O/S including basic cluster management

d. Strong verbal and written communication

e. Hitachi Technical certification is desirable
