Your Role
To develop and grow Edwards industrial vacuum business through New Process/Applications/New segments in India and respective sub-continents.
To provide the complete technical /application support to all sales team for establishing our existing and new vacuum products & solution in new applications/process/ segments to achieve the set sales targets and serve the customers with innovative and energy efficient vacuum solutions.
Main responsibilities:
  • Review of Complex/Critical /Customized vacuum enquiries which includes : Project RFQ review/highlights specific requirement/ Co-ordination & collabartion with proposal team for product Selection &Technical datasheet, P&ID, GAD,Scope Matrix, TQs submission review of Technical proposal
  • Support Sales team in Customized Engineered Package solutions for both upstream & down stream process of various applications till closure of the opportunities.
  • To establish success of Edwards vacuum pump ranges by understanding of various application demand & position suitable complete vacuum solutions in collaboration with divisional application/product managers team & Systems & Solutions team
  • To identify the customized engineered package (CEP) inquiries and transfer, coordinate and collaborate with Systems & Solution s proposal team to provide the necessary support with completion of documents to sales team for the submission of techno-commercial proposal & support them till closing of the bid.
  • Product updates & New application (Global) training to direct and indirect sales team, also to end users as & when requires with respect to making the team clear with critical application & process.
  • Apart from being the Application manager, you are also responsible as a competency development manager to improving the competency of the Edwards VIN sales team by planning the proper yearly training calendar and organizing regular, recurring training programs on basics, products, applications, competition for both direct and indirect sales team
  • Responsible for monthly Application & product trainings, preparation of training content and presentation to the direct and in-direct sales team
  • Responsible for identifying the selected & proven applications from the respective segment/industries globally/locally and shared the success stories & potential customers base to every one in the sales team during monthly meetings
  • Active participation in technical seminar/webinar on products & critical applications support to our all sales team to identify potential customers & creating the opportunities and support them in converting order.
  • Responsible for the feedback of performance evaluation of ongoing trails/supply of the Edwards products (DRY &WET) at customer end with support of service team. To vet, verify & qualify the respective product upto the mark of Customer satisfaction and shared the success stories of the similar application/ process in industries to all sales team.
  • Responsible for creating Customer Master list with detailed information of Won projects/application / industries / model / YR / Qty / flow / vacuum.
  • Identify and develop technical specification and find out the sub-vendors for designing/manufacturing and supplying upstream treatment filtration, condensors, accessories, instrumentation for our vacuum pumps to perform smoothly for various applications and shared with System & solution for validation
  • 10 to 15+ years in field of vacuum technology with products & Applications is preferrable.
  • Hands on experience on all types of vacuum pumps/projects handling/technical offering/Application knowledge
  • Expert level of Analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Other requirements : Energetic/Self driven, Profeincey in English & Local Languages. Ability to travel extensively as required by role
  • Detailed knowledge of vacuum/process/applications (Technical background : Liquid Ring vacuum pump/compressor , Oil Lubricated Rotary Vane, Dry Screw/Claw ), Chemical, Oil&Gas, Petrochemical processes equipments like heat exchangers, compressors, rotating machinery & Distillary, Evaporators.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills must be in English and additional speaking skills as advantage (Hindi, Marathi & others).
  • Good administrative and personal disciplines to handle multi-task, priotized the assignment & delivered the work in time to the customer (internal & external), customer focused and growth mindset.
  • Ability to collaborate & work as One team. Strong presentation and communication Skills. Self-starter and motivator with a committed approach to meeting the goals of the division
    • Handle the leads & Support the field sales team from customers from India and sub-continent related to new application and new segments vacuum pump requirement along with field sales team
    • Based on nature of leads, indepth analysis is carried out with the direct interaction with customer along with the respective zonal sales team to understand needs of customer based on customer clarifications further support is sought from global product & application support team
    • In case of locally offered product & services along with Edwards vacuum pumps, vendor assessment is done prior to advising product or services from them to customer.
    • Supporting sales team for making technical offers to customer.
    • Technical presentation on offer quote / solution to customer at their site to close open ended questions & clarifications to make sure offer is getting approved by customer Management & process further for commercial negotiations
    • Focus is given on priority area like Project enquiries where Edwards standard vacuum pump along with suitable scope of skid and accessories shall be promoted for existing and especially to new applications and segments
