1. Job Purpose The Head of QA, Process Technology & Business Excellence is responsible for leading quality assurance, driving process innovation, and championing continuous improvement initiatives across the Beneficiation Plant. This strategic leadership role aims to enhance operational efficiency, ensure product and process quality, and embed a culture of excellence in line with business goals.
2. Organizational Structure
Reports to: Head – Beneficiation Plant
Direct Reports: QA, Process Technology & Business Excellence team (Team Size: 4)
3. Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities A. Quality Assurance (QA) Management Develop and implement a comprehensive QA strategy aligned with regulatory and customer standards.
Lead internal audits, inspections, and compliance programs (ISO, BIS, etc.).
Maintain and enhance quality procedures, ensuring consistency across all departments.
B. Process Technology Optimization Drive implementation of new technologies to improve productivity, reduce cost, and enhance quality.
Analyze key process parameters, identify gaps, and initiate improvement actions.
Partner with R&D, Engineering, and Production teams to refine and scale up process innovations.
C. Business Excellence (BE)Lead and promote Lean, Six Sigma, TQM, and other excellence frameworks.
Build a strong culture of continuous improvement and structured problem solving.
Identify and implement high-impact projects to optimize cost, quality, and performance.
4. Key Challenges Balancing innovation with regulatory and operational constraints.
Engaging cross-functional teams to drive sustainable improvements.
Aligning quality and process initiatives with evolving customer expectations.
5. Decision-Making Authority i. Decisions made by Jobholder Operational QA and process improvement strategies.
Resource allocation within the QA & BE team.
ii. Recommendations to Superior Strategic improvement opportunities.
Capex & Opex allocation for QA and process technology investments.
6. Cross-Functional Interactions Internal: Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Support Services, BP Team, Sales, Marketing
External: Customers, suppliers, technology partners, and regulatory bodies
7. Dimensions Financial Responsibility: Capex & Opex planning and budget management for QA and BE functions.

8. Skills & Knowledge i. Educational Qualifications & Certifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably in Mineral Beneficiation, Industrial or Quality).
Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
Six Sigma Black Belt / Lean Manufacturing / TQM certifications desirable.
ii. Total Experience Minimum 15 years of experience in QA, Process Optimization, or Business Excellence roles in a manufacturing setup.
iii. Functional Skills Expertise in ISO 9001, quality frameworks, and process improvement methodologies.
Hands-on experience with data-driven decision-making and advanced analytics.
iv. Behavioral Skills Strong leadership and project management capabilities.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical thinking.
