Job Description

Title: Head of Production – Bakery Division
Location: Bhumi World, Bhiwandi
Department: Production
Reports To: Managing Director / CEO / Operations Head
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Head of Production to lead and manage our bakery production operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing activities, ensuring consistent product quality, timely output, and efficient resource management across all bakery units. This role demands strong leadership and a deep understanding of bakery processes and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all aspects of bakery production including bread, pastries, cakes, cookies, and specialty baked goods.
  • Plan and implement production schedules to meet demand forecasts and order deadlines.
  • Ensure high standards of product quality, consistency, and presentation across all SKUs.
  • Monitor daily production performance, identify bottlenecks, and drive improvements.
  • Maintain food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with FSSAI and other regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with procurement, inventory, and quality assurance teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and packaging.
  • Optimize production costs while maintaining product quality and minimizing wastage.
  • Lead, train, and supervise production staff including bakers, helpers, and packaging personnel.
  • Implement SOPs, batch processing records, and quality control checklists.
  • Oversee maintenance of production equipment and ensure minimal downtime.
  • Introduce automation and innovation to improve efficiency and scale operations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Hotel Management, Production Management, or equivalent (Diploma in Baking & Pastry Arts preferred).
  • Minimum 8–12 years of experience in bakery production, with at least 3–5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial baking processes, machinery, and ingredients.
  • Strong understanding of food safety standards, HACCP, and bakery compliance protocols.
  • Experience in managing large-scale production with multiple product lines.
  • Proficiency in production planning tools, Excel, and ERP systems.

Salary: 5 LPA and above depended on last drawn salary

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹550,000.00 per year
