Head of Supply Chain

Role Overview:

The Head of Supply Chain will be responsible for sourcing, qualifying, and managing Indian vendors to ensure cost-effective and timely procurement of materials. This role is pivotal in maintaining a vendor-heavy, asset-light manufacturing model while achieving operational efficiency and cost targets.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement supply chain strategies to support production and operational goals.

- Source, qualify, and manage Indian vendors to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.

- Oversee inventory management and ensure optimal stock levels.

- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings.

- Monitor and improve the cost of goods sold (COGS) and on-time-in-full (OTIF) delivery metrics.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address supply chain challenges.

- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and quality standards.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.

- 8+ years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in the defense or manufacturing sector.

- Proven track record of managing vendor relationships, including international vendors, and achieving cost savings.

- Strong knowledge of inventory management and procurement processes.

- Proficiency in SAP, CRM software, and inventory management tools is absolutely necessary.

- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

- Familiarity with quality assurance and control processes.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Salary Range:

- INR 15-18 LPA (commensurate with experience and qualifications).
