Role Summary

Head of Sales and Marketing



Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategy to drive revenue growth across domestic and international markets.
  • Identify and acquire new clients in core industries such as infrastructure, railways, shipbuilding, fabrication, and defense.
  • Lead and manage the sales team—including hiring, mentoring, and performance tracking.
  • Build strong relationships with key accounts, ensuring high customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Collaborate with production, R&D, and marketing to tailor solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Forecast sales targets and prepare budgets, tracking performance against defined KPIs.
  • Develop distribution and channel partner strategies for regional and national expansion.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing while ensuring profitability and long-term engagement.
  • Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and customer insights to refine strategy.
  • Represent Ultramet Welds at industry events, exhibitions, and client meetings.
  • Ensure CRM systems and sales processes are effectively implemented and updated.
  • Prepare regular sales reports for senior leadership and advise on business opportunities.



Requirements

  • MBA from IIM or other top-tier B-school (preferred)
  • 10+ years of B2B industrial sales experience (welding, steel, engineering products preferred)
  • Proven track record of leading high-performance sales teams and achieving growth targets
  • Strong understanding of industrial sales cycles, channel dynamics, and value-based selling
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills
  • Willingness to travel extensively
