Althion is a Hyderabad based med-tech/water-tech company developing and manufacturing an exciting portfolio of medical devices and equipment. With initial R&D and manufacturing set-up funded by BIRAC, and solid traction in India for its line of kidney dialysis grade ultra-pure water products, Althion is now well positioned to expand to other markets and commercialise other products in its pipeline.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Science graduate with minimum 5 years of experience in sales of laboratory and medical equipment
  • PG degree in Business Management (preferred)
  • Should have experience in life science industry and good customer network in hospitals, biotechnology/pharmaceutical/diagnostics companies and Research institutes/academia 
  • Sales Strategy and Planning: Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
  • Negotiation Skills: Proficiency in negotiating deals and closing sales. Ability to quickly establish credibility with all levels of customer base. 


Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy and Planning
  • Responsible for growth of laboratory and medical equipment business by effectively managing and developing Customer and Channel Partner relationships and thus increase sales
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and increase market share within the assigned area.
  • Create and manage a detailed sales plan. Prepare and present regular sales reports, including sales forecasts, performance metrics, and market analysis.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including hospitals, clinics, biotechnology/pharmaceutical/diagnostics companies, research institutions and healthcare professionals.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to product performance or service.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to understand the competitive landscape, customer needs, and emerging trends in the medical equipment and laboratory equipment industry.
  • Identify opportunities for new business development and areas for market expansion.
  • Ensure all sales activities comply with industry regulations and company policies, including ethical standards and legal requirements.
  • Keep abreast of changes in medical device regulations and ensure the team is informed and compliant.
  • Promotional Activities: Organize and participate in promotional activities, such as trade shows, conferences, and product demonstrations, to enhance product visibility and generate leads.
