About the Role

Head of Product Development

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end product development — from concept and sampling to production.
• Research new fibers, weaves, finishes, and backing techniques.
• Collaborate with international buyers and design partners on exclusive collections.
• Work closely with manufacturing teams in Alleppey and Tuticorin to bring ideas to life.
• Track global trends in flooring and interiors to guide innovation.
• Support marketing teams with product specs and visual storytelling.

Requirements

• 8+ years in product development or design within flooring, textiles, or home furnishings.
• Strong knowledge of coir, jute, or sisal-based production processes. Tufting and knowledge of synthetic fibers is an advantage.
• Ability to merge design aesthetics with commercial goals.
• Hands-on experience developing export-quality products.
• Curious, detail-oriented, and passionate about sustainable materials.
