Job Description

Responsibilities

Strategic Expansion & Planning

  • Lead the deployment of EV charging infrastructure across Eastern regions, including major cities and key transport corridors.
  • Develop high-density cluster strategies, integrating central and local government incentive policies.
  • Define KPIs aligned with national energy transition goals.

Site Development & Negotiation

  • Identify and negotiate with partners such as shopping malls, bus terminals, railway stations, and government agencies for charging site deployment.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations on urban planning, fire safety, construction permits, and grid connections.

Project Execution & Compliance

  • Oversee the end-to-end process from site survey to system operation.
  • Ensure adherence to technical standards on charging infrastructure, electrical safety, and environmental protection.
  • Collaborate closely with technical, legal, and finance teams to deliver projects on time and with high quality.

Regulatory & Legal Coordination

  • Obtain licenses under the Electricity Act and coordinate with DISCOMs for grid connections and energy metering.
  • Ensure compliance with labor, EHS (Environment, Health & Safety), and data security regulations in smart charging software.
  • Review and manage EPC, O&M, and PPP contracts.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Liaise with government bodies such as the Ministry of Energy, NITI Aayog, transport departments, and municipal authorities for timely approvals.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences and forums on energy and electric mobility.

Team Leadership & Reporting

  • Build and lead teams across site development, legal, and project management functions.
  • Allocate resources effectively, track performance, and provide regular reporting via MIS and dashboards.
  • Work with the communications team to organize charging station launch events.


Requirements

Educational Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Renewable Energy, or related fields.
  • MBA or legal certification in infrastructure/corporate law preferred.
  • Advanced qualifications in technology, energy, or sustainability are an advantage.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in infrastructure development, real estate, or renewable energy.
  • Minimum 5 years in leadership roles managing teams or large-scale projects.
  • Strong knowledge of India’s EV market and energy solutions.
  • Solid understanding of regulations such as the Electricity Act, Environmental Law, RERA, and labor laws.

  • Strong problem-solving, resilience, and compliance mindset.

Soft Skills & Tools

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in office tools, project management software, and basic AutoCAD.
  • Fluent in English and Hindi; knowledge of regional languages is an added advantage.
