Role Overview

We are seeking an accomplished leader to drive the company’s Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) agenda, with a strong focus on buy-side transactions in the IT services industry. This role requires building a high-quality M&A pipeline, managing relationships with investment bankers and advisors, and executing transactions end-to-end — from evaluation and negotiation to integration and synergy realization.

As part of the leadership team, the Head of M&A will work closely with the CEO, CFO/COO and senior stakeholders to shape the company’s inorganic growth strategy and deliver measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • M&A Strategy & Pipeline Development
  • Build and manage a pipeline of potential acquisitions aligned with corporate priorities.
  • Develop and sustain relationships with investment bankers, private equity, advisors, and strategic partners to source opportunities.
  • Transaction Execution
  • Lead end-to-end execution of M&A deals, with emphasis on buy-side.
  • Manage financial due diligence, valuation, transaction structuring, and negotiations.
  • Review Term Sheets, Definitive Agreements, and other transaction documentation to identify risks and optimize terms.
  • Integration & Value Realization
  • Partner with finance, tax, legal, and operations teams to ensure seamless post-merger integration.
  • Define and track synergy KPIs; monitor and report progress to leadership.
  • Governance & Stakeholder Management
  • Prepare board-level business cases, deal models, and presentations.
  • Ensure transactions comply with legal, regulatory, and governance standards.
  • Work closely with CEO, CFO/COO and leadership to align M&A execution with corporate goals.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 15–20 years of progressive experience in M&A, corporate finance, or investment banking, with exposure to both buy-side and sell-side, and a strong preference for buy-side transactions.
  • Proven track record of executing at least a couple of closed buy-side deals.
  • Prior exposure to IT services industry is highly desirable.
  • Chartered Accountant / CFA / MBA Finance preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional deal teams and engaging with CxO/board-level stakeholders.

Key Competencies

  • Strong financial and commercial acumen — valuation, deal structuring, capital structure, negotiations.
  • Ability to create and close M&A pipelines independently.
  • Excellent relationship-building with investment bankers, advisors, and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to deliver integration outcomes and realize synergies post-deal.
  • High accountability, resilience, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced leadership environment.
