Role Overview

Head of Legal

extensive experience in domestic and cross-border transactions

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and implement key legal processes related to

  contract drafting, negotiation, and commercial agreements

  , including

  cross-border contracts and partnerships

  .
• Provide

  strategic and operational legal guidance

  to the senior leadership team across business functions.
• Manage and advise on

  litigation, arbitration, contract disputes, product liability, and property-related legal issues

  .
• Oversee

  legal due diligence

  for land acquisition, title verification, and ensure adherence to all statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Draft, vet, review, and negotiate diverse legal documents including

  EPC & O&M Contracts, PPAs, NDAs, MOUs, JVs, Guarantees, and Cross-Border Agreements

  .
• Ensure timely

  implementation of new laws, government policies, and judicial amendments

  within the organization.
• Conduct

  legal audits

  to ensure compliance with

  labour and industrial laws

  such as the Factories Act, ESI, PF, Gratuity, Bonus, Minimum Wages, and Contract Labour (R&A) Act.
• Liaise with external counsel and manage litigations before

  Supreme Court, High Courts, and Industrial Tribunals

  .
• Advise management on

  legal risk assessment, mitigation strategies

  , and compliance governance.
• Regularly

  brief senior management

  on critical litigations, compliance developments, and risk exposures.

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor of Law (LLB)

  ;

  Postgraduate degree in Law (LLM)

  preferred.
• Minimum

  23 years of progressive legal experience

  in

  Corporate, Civil, Industrial, Business, and IPR laws

  , with strong exposure to

  cross-border legal and contractual matters

  .
• Proven background in

  large manufacturing or industrial organizations

  .

Skills & Competencies

• Deep understanding of

  Company Law, Contract Act, Negotiable Instruments Act, Competition Act, FEMA, SEBI regulations

  , and

  international trade laws

  .
• Strong expertise in

  litigation management, land and property laws, industrial compliance, and cross-border contracting

  .
• Excellent

  negotiation, communication, and analytical skills

  .
• Demonstrated ability to operate under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced business environment.
• Leadership capability to foster a culture of

  integrity, compliance, and ethical governance

  .
