The company is a fast-growing startup that is developing a tech-enabled platform in the sustainability and waste management sector. It aims to assist individuals and businesses in selling scrap materials like paper, plastic, metal, and electronics through a convenient doorstep pickup service. The company is focused on bringing structure to a traditionally disorganized sector, resulting in both economic and environmental impacts. The founding team boasts significant experience in technology and operations, with the company steadily expanding its reach and influence. As the first HR professional to join the team, you will be responsible for establishing the people function from the ground up. Your role will be crucial in team expansion, culture development, and the implementation of scalable HR practices that are in line with the company's mission and fast-paced environment. With the company's growth, you will have the opportunity to lead the HR function and directly contribute to the long-term success of the organization. Key Responsibilities: 1. **Talent Acquisition** - Collaborate with department leads to determine hiring needs - Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviews, and onboarding - Develop a robust talent pipeline for future positions 2. **Culture & Employee Experience** - Act as the primary point of contact for employee support and conflict resolution - Lead initiatives to foster a collaborative, growth-oriented, and inclusive work environment - Implement and enhance company policies related to performance, discipline, and employee well-being 3. **Performance & Growth** - Oversee performance review cycles and feedback mechanisms - Assist team leads in creating development plans and monitoring growth metrics - Design recognition and incentive programs that align with the company's values 4. **Compliance & Admin** - Ensure compliance with labor laws and statutory regulations - Maintain employee records, contracts, and HR documentation 5. **Startup Hustle & Ownership** - Engage in day-to-day office operations and vendor coordination - Take charge of internal communication and event planning - Embrace multiple responsibilities and excel in ambiguous situations Qualifications: - Minimum 5-8 years of experience in HR generalist, people operations, or talent roles - Previous experience in a startup or rapidly growing company is preferred - Strong skills in talent identification and acquisition - Profound knowledge of HR practices, compliance, and labor laws - Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities - Proactive, empathetic, and ownership-oriented mindset Why Join Us: - Become a foundational member of our HR team - Collaborate closely with the leadership team to shape the people strategy - Make a tangible environmental and social impact - Access to ESOPs and growth opportunities as the company expands If you are passionate about building from the ground up, thrive in dynamic environments, and advocate for people-centric workplaces, we would love to hear from you!,
