About the Role

Condé Nast is seeking an experienced Head of Events to lead its Events & Special Projects in the India Market. The role involves conceptualizing and executing high-impact brand experiences, including flagship properties such as Vogue Wedding Atelier, Architectural Digest Design Show, GQ Men of the Year Awards, Vogue Forces of Fashion, and the Luxury Conclave, along with other marquee events.

Reporting to the Managing Director and working closely with our Editors and Chief Business Officer and other cross-functional teams, this role is responsible for developing and executing an events strategy and leading a team of specialised Events managers to deliver world-class productions that elevate the brand and deliver strong business impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a forward-looking events strategy that reinforces Condé Nast’s leadership in the lifestyle, fashion, luxury, and beauty space.
• Lead, inspire, and grow the Events team, ensuring seamless delivery of large-scale, high-impact events aligned with business goals and revenue targets.
• Serve as a strategic liaison with senior stakeholders, building strong relationships that drive influence and collaboration across the market.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Editorial, Commercial, Marketing, Consumer & Commercial Creative) to shape the vision, positioning, and execution of the events portfolio.
• Oversee concept-to-execution delivery of IPs and events, ensuring alignment with editorial vision and brand strategy.
• Craft compelling communications and messaging to articulate Condé Nast’s events offering, partnering with Commercial and Consumer teams to drive revenue. Work closely with commercial teams to get sponsors and partners on board for our IPs.
• Work closely with commercial teams and editorial teams to come up with creative ideas on custom events for our partners, and then work with our commercial team to win such projects.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, and P&L for the events portfolio, ensuring financial discipline and profitability.
• Foster a culture of excellence by coaching and developing talent within the Events team, encouraging collaboration, innovation, and high performance.
• Collaborate with senior leaders within Condé Nast’s Commercial Creative function to establish slick processes and ways of working that support the teams in delivering tentpole events for our hero titles.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8–12 years of proven experience in events strategy, management, and execution.
• Significant commercial experience in events management.
• Demonstrated track record of successfully leading a team to activate complex tentpole events.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a positive working environment that encourages collaboration and high performance.
• Established relationships and contacts within relevant industries.
• Experience in event production management.
• An excellent communicator with proven ability to navigate a complex matrix structure, effectively collaborating with multiple stakeholders in various markets and functions.
• Adaptability and a keen understanding of evolving industry landscapes and trends.
• Passion for our brands and a deep understanding of the events market
