We are seeking an accomplished and visionary
Head of IT
to lead our technology strategy, architecture, and delivery with a strong focus on
Loan Management Systems (LMS), Loan Origination Systems (LOS), and enterprise technology platforms
. The role requires a leader with exceptional expertise in
system architecture, vendor management, technology evaluation, and digital transformation
. The Head of IT will be responsible for driving innovation, ensuring scalability, and building a secure, future-ready technology ecosystem that supports the company's rapid growth in the financial services sector.This position is ideal for a senior technology leader who has successfully designed and delivered large-scale financial technology solutions, collaborated with business stakeholders, and led diverse IT teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Technology Leadership: Define, develop, and implement the organization's IT vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with business objectives and digital transformation goals.
- System Architecture: Architect and oversee the design of scalable, robust, and secure enterprise systems, including Loan Origination Systems (LOS), Loan Management Systems (LMS), core financial applications, and digital channels.
- Product Development & Implementation: Collaborate with business and product teams to conceptualize, develop, and deploy technology-driven solutions that enhance customer experience and improve operational efficiency.
- Vendor Management: Lead vendor evaluation, selection, and management processes to ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions. Negotiate contracts, SLAs, and long-term technology partnerships.
- Technology Evaluation & Innovation: Stay ahead of emerging trends, evaluating new technologies such as AI/ML, cloud computing, API-first architectures, and low-code/no-code platforms for relevance to the lending business.
- Infrastructure & Security: Oversee IT infrastructure, cloud adoption, data management, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices in cybersecurity.
- Governance & Compliance: Establish IT policies, standards, and processes to ensure smooth operations and compliance with RBI, NBFC, and global information security guidelines.
- Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead high-performing IT teams including architects, developers, system administrators, and security specialists. Drive a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with CXOs, finance, operations, risk, and product heads to align IT initiatives with organizational priorities.
- Digital Transformation: Drive end-to-end automation, digitization of lending processes, and technology adoption to create scalable and customer-centric platforms.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 17+ years of experience in Information Technology with at least 8 years in leadership roles within banking, NBFC, or fintech domains.
- Proven track record of architecting and implementing Loan Management Systems (LMS), Loan Origination Systems (LOS), and other core lending technologies.
- Expertise in system architecture, enterprise integrations (APIs, microservices), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and data-driven decision-making.
- Strong vendor management skills with experience in negotiating, onboarding, and managing technology partners.
- Proficiency in IT governance frameworks, compliance standards, and security regulations relevant to financial services.
- Strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to balance long-term vision with short-term execution.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills with experience in leading cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with NBFCs, banks, or fintechs in digital lending transformation.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements in financial services, including RBI guidelines.
- Certifications in enterprise architecture (TOGAF), project management (PMP), or information security (CISSP, CISM).
