Job Description

Role Summary:
As the Head of HR India, you will be responsible for leading the HR function across the Indian operations of the company. You will drive strategic and operational HR initiatives, foster a culture of performance and collaboration, ensure compliance with local labor laws, and act as the key liaison between the India team and the APAC HR leadership based in Singapore.Key Responsibilities:Strategic HR LeadershipPartner with the India MD and APAC HR Head to shape and execute the India people strategy aligned with global objectives.Lead workforce planning, talent acquisition, and succession planning to support business growth.Drive cultural alignment with German HQ and APAC region.People Management & DevelopmentBuild a strong performance management culture focused on continuous feedback, growth, and accountability.Lead employee engagement programs, learning and development initiatives, and internal communication efforts.Coach and develop mid-level and senior managers on leadership and people practices.Business PartneringAct as a strategic business partner to the leadership team in India.Provide insights on workforce trends, organizational health, and capability building.Drive change management initiatives during restructuring, new launches, or policy transitions.HR Operations & ComplianceOversee all aspects of HR operations including payroll, benefits, HRIS, and compliance.Ensure adherence to Indian labor laws and global HR standards.Implement and standardize HR processes and SOPs across functions and regions.Regional CoordinationCollaborate with APAC HR head in Singapore on cross-country programs, reporting, and policy alignment.Participate in regional HR forums, contributing India-specific insights and sharing best practices.Key Requirements:Master's degree in Human Resources / MBA HR from a reputed institute.

Requirements

12+ years of experience in human resources, including at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.Proven expertise in managing HR functions for MNCs with cross-border reporting.Strong people leadership, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills.Exposure to working in matrix structures and coordinating with global/region-based HR leaders.Hands-on approach and ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution.Excellent communication skills and cultural sensitivity.Preferred Attributes:Experience in consumer goods, appliances, or retail industry.Familiarity with German business culture is an advantage.Knowledge of APAC HR practices or experience in multinational regional coordination.
