Job Description

As the Head of Human Resources for a jewellery business, your primary responsibility will be to establish HR policies, processes, and a culture that aligns with the values of the Store. Your role will involve talent acquisition, performance management, employee engagement, compliance, and succession planning to support the business growth effectively. - Act as a trusted advisor to the owners and management team on HR strategy and people issues. - Align HR policies with the long-term vision of the business, balancing tradition with modern practices. - Drive organizational development and change management initiatives. - Lead end-to-end recruitment for retail and corporate roles. - Implement structured onboarding processes for new employees. - Build talent pipelines for critical positions to ensure succession planning. - Foster a positive work environment with professional standards. - Design employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and team-building activities. - Implement performance appraisal systems tailored to different roles. - Develop training programs for various departments. - Ensure compliance with labor laws, statutory requirements, and ethical employment practices. - Design competitive compensation structures and incentive schemes. - Monitor industry salary trends and benchmark accordingly. You should possess strong interpersonal and communication skills along with the ability to balance professional HR practices with leadership qualities like empathy, discretion, and fairness. Hands-on knowledge of labor laws, compliance, and HR technology is essential, along with experience in handling workforce diversity. Qualifications & Experience: - Postgraduate in Human Resources / MBA (HR) or equivalent. - 5 - 10 years of HR experience with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role. - Experience in retail, jewellery, luxury segment is preferred.
