Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen operations. The Head Chef is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen, including menu creation, food preparation, staff management, cost control, and maintaining the highest culinary and hygiene standards. This role requires strong leadership, creativity, and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. Key Responsibilities: Kitchen Leadership & Team ManagementLead, manage, and mentor the entire kitchen team, including Sous Chefs, Chef de Parties, and junior staff. Schedule kitchen staff shifts and ensure adequate coverage during busy hours. Train new staff and conduct regular performance evaluations. Foster a positive and disciplined kitchen culture. Menu Planning & Food PreparationDesign and update creative, seasonal, and profitable menus. Supervise the preparation, cooking, and presentation of all dishes. Ensure consistent taste, quality, and presentation. Monitor food preparation techniques to maintain quality standards. Inventory & Cost ControlMonitor and manage food costs, portion control, and waste. Order supplies and manage inventory in coordination with suppliers. Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients (FIFO method). Work within budget while maintaining food quality. Health, Safety & HygieneEnforce and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Ensure kitchen staff follow all food safety and sanitation regulations. Conduct regular kitchen inspections and audits. Collaboration & Customer FocusWork closely with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service. Handle guest feedback related to food and take corrective action when needed. Stay updated on food trends, dietary requirements, and customer preferences. Requirements: Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Sous Chef. Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred. Deep knowledge of culinary techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety standards. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment. Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
