Skills
- Good knowledge of Electronics hardware design in digital & analog circuit design.
- Proficient in designing electronics boards using microcontrollers, microprocessors, FPGAs, GPUs.
- Should have sound practical knowledge of different communication protocols; not limiting to SPI, I2C, RS232, RS422, CAN, Ethernet.
- Analog design experience including active passive filters, amplifiers.
- Knowledge of Cadence schematic capture and PCB design tools.
- Should have good hardware design and development knowledge (requirements definition, design, reviews, testing, etc.).
- Design knowledge in analogy and digital video interface protocols will be a plus point.
- Good knowledge of power supply schemes.
- Experience in EMI/EMC designs both at circuit level and layout level.
- Capable of conceptualizing a design, component selection, BOM optimization, design simulation, detailed design, schematic capture, and PCB design rules creation.
- Should be able to troubleshoot embedded boards/systems.
- Hands-on experience on using measurement tools loke mustimeter, digital oscilloscope, spectrum analyser, logic analyser.
- Ability to handle complex design with minimal guidance or supervision
- Understanding of electronics manufacturing process
- Capable of writing supporting documentation to coordinate and establish layout practices and test procedures for the current design.
- Good to have knowledge in C programming.
- Good written & verbal communication skills.
- Good diagnostic & problem-solving capability.
Role and responsibility
- Responsible for the design and development of new products as well as the support and modification of existing products.
- Coordinate with the layout design team for getting the PCB layout done with appropriate guidelines.
- Manage prototype builds with contract manufacturers.
- Support the boards and systems during environmental and EMI/EMC testing and entry into production.
- Be an integral part of the Hardware Design Team as a driver of new ideas as well as provider of feedback for improvement of existing products.
- Continuous interaction with other departments (Software, Mechanical, etc.) as part of daily board design practices and to support & maintain inter-departmental communications.
- Support board layout as well as board and system level bring-up, debugging and verification.
- Involvement in customer support activities by site visits/giving demos /training /installation/solving customer's field issues.
- Conduct simulations and testing to validate design performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues during the development phase.
- Collaborate with software engineers to integrate hardware and firmware.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to the improvement of design processes.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation and specifications.
- Support manufacturing and production teams during product ramp-up and testing.
