Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable professional to manage GST compliance and related financial processes for Avaada’s project and corporate entities. This role involves GST return filings, ITC reconciliation, audit coordination, documentation management, and ensuring full compliance with statutory and internal guidelines.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in GST operations within the renewable energy, EPC, or infrastructure sectors, with a strong understanding of industry-specific tax provisions.
Key Responsibilities
1. GST Compliance & Return Filing
Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, GSTR-9C, etc.) for project and corporate entities.
Ensure timely payment of GST liabilities and reconcile returns with books of accounts and electronic credit & cash ledgers.
2. Input Tax Credit (ITC) Reconciliation
Reconcile ITC with GSTR-2A/2B and identify ineligible or blocked credits as per GST provisions.
Track and manage ITC utilization for capital goods, project procurement, and inter-state transactions.
3. Audit, Assessment & Documentation
Maintain complete and accurate GST records for internal and statutory audits.
Coordinate with tax consultants and government authorities during audits, assessments, and compliance-related queries.
4. Refunds & Registrations
Prepare and file refund applications, including those related to inverted duty structures.
Manage GST registrations and amendments for project SPVs across various states.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of GST laws, rules, exemptions, and sector-specific provisions related to renewable energy.
Knowledge of EPC contracts, inverted duty structures, and zero-rated supplies.
Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably SAP) for GST configuration, invoice validation, and reporting.
Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong documentation capability.
Qualification & Experience
Education: B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) / CA (Inter) / CMA (Inter) or equivalent.
Experience: 2–5 years in GST compliance and accounting, preferably in renewable energy, infrastructure, or EPC sectors.
Preferred: Experience with solar/wind project entities and understanding of GST implications for renewable project components.
